Your SGC submission checklist: four checks before you press submit.
A practical last pass for hobbyists sending an SGC batch: confirm the declared value, keep cert numbers in the right place, gather your photo IDs, and make sure the total fits the selected tier limits. Use it alongside the full SGC submission prep guide.
Pre-submit pass
Tick these off before the batch leaves your desk.
01 · Declared value
Fill declared values for the rows that need them.
Check every row against its SGC tier and the card's value. The walk-through tier needs a declared value on every row, and any single card over the $500 threshold needs one whatever tier you selected.
02 · Cert number
Leave cert-number blank for raw submissions.
Only add an 8–9 digit cert-number for cross-over or reholder rows. A first-time raw submission should not carry a cert from a different slab.
03 · Photo IDs
Gather the photo IDs for every card in the batch.
Keep the card photos easy to match to the exported rows before you submit. Slabwright can validate the CSV fields, but the hobbyist still needs to collect and label the photo IDs that support the physical cards.
04 · Tier total
Confirm the batch total fits the selected SGC tier limit.
Add the batch's declared values, then compare the total with the limit for the SGC tier you chose. Resolve any over-limit row or move the batch to the right tier before submitting.
Slabwright export
Slabwright's SGC export already carries the declared-value and cert-number fields, with validation for the tier rules and raw-versus-cross-over / reholder logic. It helps you catch a malformed row before export.
You still need to gather the photo IDs and confirm the final declared-value total is inside the limit for your selected SGC tier. That last check belongs to the person sending the cards.
